Happy New Years.

2014 was a great year. It was filled with many diaper changes and lots of laughter. We became first time parents and couples who sing way too many kids songs. I met many new friends this year who I've learned so much from. I've learned perserverence this year. I've learned what a blessing it is to be a mom.

What a year it has been. I've grown so much this year. Here is to knowing 2015 will bring many more good memories! I'm excited to see what this new year will bring. Thanks to those who made this year amazing!

Liam's New Years resolutions

1. I will try more foods especially the ones my mom doesn't want to share.
2. I will scare my parents by being even more of a daredevil this year.
3. I will play harder than I ever have
4. I will learn lots of new things this year.

My New Years resolutions.
1. I will learn to manage my house better
2. I will cook more or at least pin more ideas I would like to try one day.
3. I will stop comparing myself to other moms and realize I'm a dang good mom
4. I will be a better friend
5. I will be a better wife
6. I will workout more. Or at least think about working out more than I do.
7. I will spend more time enjoying each second with my son. He is growing way to fast.
8. I will start taking more photos with my camera instead of my phone.

We didn't make it to the store in time so we made our own hat. It's difficult taking pictures with this wiggle worm.

Cuckoo-ca-choo what crazy things do you do?

Becoming a mom is wonderful but it also makes me do crazy things.

I didn't know my whole life would change in a matter of seconds after he was born.
I constantly find myself wondering what I did before I had him.

I showered with out having to check on him. I slept all night! I carried a cute purse!
I could wear anything I wanted with out asking myself "is this easy to breastfeeding in?"

I love being a mom. I was scared of having that title. Now I embrace it and realize that's who I was meant to be.

What is the craziest thing you do being a mom?

For me one of them is sitting in the car for hours just so he can get a good nap. My husband thinks I'm crazy. He might be right :)

You have Two ears and one mouth

My dad repeated this phrase to me often growing up. He would always tell me "Amy, God gave you two ears and one mouth. Listen more than you speak."

It was an annoyance at the time but as I got older it was a constant reminder.
I am quick to speak but I need to learn to listen.

With 2015 a few days away I am dedicating this year to listening. Listening to my baby say his first words, a friend who needs to vent and to what God is trying to tell me this year.

I'm starting this blog as my way of speaking but also to remind myself to listen to others.

I am starting a challenge for myself and my little man.
We are going to participate in some kind of community sevice or activity serving others. We are going to listen and learn from other people.

It's going to be an exciting year.

My life is messy but I couldn't imagine a more perfect life.
